Newcomer Welcome Team

Helping Newcomers Become Family

The Newcomer Welcome Team at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church plays a vital role in helping visitors feel seen, known, and invited into the life of the parish. First-time guests often decide whether they’ll return within their first few minutes—so we aim to welcome them with warmth, clarity, and personal connection.

This ministry bridges the gap between visiting and belonging, making sure no one falls through the cracks and that every soul is received in the love of Christ.

What We Do

👋 Greeting Visitors – Say hello, learn names, and offer assistance
📝 Guest Follow-Up – Send a warm email, phone call, or handwritten note
📖 Information Table – Offer bulletins, brochures, and helpful introductions
📅 Invitation to Events – Personally invite guests to meals, classes, and studies
🤝 Walking with Newcomers – Help them navigate the worship service, find Sunday school, or connect with others

“Receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.”
— Romans 15:7 (KJV)

A Welcoming Parish Culture

While all members of the church are called to welcome others, the Newcomer Welcome Team serves as a dedicated ministry to ensure intentional, consistent outreach to visitors and returning guests. They are often the friendly face that makes someone say, “This feels like home.”

Who Can Serve?

This ministry is perfect for outgoing and friendly members—young adults, parents, retirees—anyone who can start a conversation and extend hospitality.

  • Serve once or twice per month before/after church
