Lenten Quiet Retreat

Be Still and Know…

Join us on April 4th, 2020 from 10 am to 1 pm for a Lenten Quiet Day Retreat at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church (101 N El Monte Ave, California 94022).

A day of quiet is a time set apart for sacred rest. It is an opportunity to satisfy our deepest longing for solitude, for connection with the Divine, and for that which is truly life-giving.

During this time, through prayer, reflection and stillness, we are able to honor the forces of grace that sustain and heal us. We are freed to listen and hear God’s invitations to us to become our best selves. Balance restored and we can return to our daily activities, refreshed in mind, body, and spirit.

Our retreat will be presented by Father Steve Macias of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church and St. John’s Priory, The community of Christ the Sower, a contemplative Benedictine religious order for men and women in the Bay Area.

Our day begins at 10 AM with a simple continental breakfast in the Parish Hall which is located next to the church. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Our Lenten devotion will begin at 10:30, followed by a time for silent personal reflection in the garden or in various indoor quiet places located on the church campus. The Sanctuary will be available all day for private prayer. Our retreat will conclude at 1 pm following a final meditation and midday prayer.

For more information call (650) 949-0909 or email Father Macias.
