What if the Church is not a bunker under siege, but an army on the march? On the eve of Michaelmas, Fr. Steve Macias preached on Revelation 12:7–12, where St. Michael and his angels cast the dragon out of heaven.

About This Sermon
In Revelation 12, St. John shows us St. Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. Heaven storms the dragon, and he is cast out. It is Christ’s offensive, won at the Cross, the empty tomb, and the Ascension.
From this passage, Fr. Steve draws out three things:
- The greatest battle in history is behind us, and we won.
- The Accuser has been thrown out of court. Satan’s chief weapon is accusation.
- But the blood of the Lamb has answered every charge.
What does this mean for us? Fathers and mothers are on the front line, and the home is a forward position. Christian education is ground retaken from the father of lies. When the Accuser comes with your sin, point him to the Cross.
“Who is like God?” No one. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
